Home / About Us

1. How long will I need to stay in the hospital or healthcare facility?

The length of stay will depend on the type and complexity of the treatment or surgery.
Discuss this with your advisor, who may provide a tailored estimate.

2. Will nursing care, food and drinks, medications, and dressings be provided?

Most of the hospitals we collaborate with include nursing care, medications,
dressings, and meals as part of their inpatient services. Confirm with your advisor
whether these costs are included in your treatment package.

3. Where will I stay after discharge? Will hotel accommodation be organized for me?

Post-discharge accommodations, such as nearby hotels, can be discussed with Med Travel during consultation. The options depend on your chosen consultation package.

4. Will I need to bring a travel companion to help with my recovery or mobility?

While not always mandatory, bringing a companion is often recommended for assistance and emotional support.

5. What pre-treatment care will be required?

Blood tests may be required before any treatment to ensure you are eligible for a certain procedure. Your advisor will inform you about the specific tests needed.

6. How long will I need follow-up care?

The duration of follow-up care depends on the nature of your treatment. Some procedures may only require short-term follow-ups, while others might necessitate long-term care. Discuss this with your doctor at the clinic for more details.

7. Where will I be able to get follow-up care?

It may be available:

  • At the hospital where you were treated.
  • In your home country (check with your GP or healthcare provider
    beforehand).

8. How long will I need to stay near the hospital before safely traveling home?

This depends on the treatment. Typically, you may need to stay for two nights at the hospital after treatment, but the hospital will provide specific guidelines on how many days you should remain locally to ensure there are no immediate complications.

9. When will I be considered 'fit to fly' home?

Your treating doctor will decide this based on your recovery progress and the nature of your treatment. For more invasive surgeries or procedures, flying is usually restricted for eight days.

10. What languages are spoken in the hospital?

Many medical professionals speak English, especially in facilities catering to international patients.

11. Does the hospital accept credit/debit cards or require cash payments?

Most modern hospitals in Poland accept credit and debit cards. It is advisable to confirm payment methods in advance.
